Do All the Good You Can

$500K for 5 Charities

At the 2019 Global SAFe Summit, Scaled Agile’s CEO Chris James announced a major growth milestone: over 500,000 professionals have taken SAFe training, and the community continues to grow at an amazing rate.

That’s big news and we decided to celebrate in a big way by donating a half million dollars to charity. As part of Scaled Agile’s Pledge 1% commitment and our ongoing  Do All The Good You Can initiative, five humanitarian aid organizations were selected to receive $500,000 and Summit attendees played an important role in determining how the money was distributed.

Using tickets perforated into five sections, attendees participated by going to donation stations and voting for the charity or charities of their choice. The more sections each charity received, the greater their donation. Here are the results of the vote:

  • Water.org – $150,000
  • Action Against Hunger – $125,000
  • Easterseals – $100,000
  • Engineers Without Borders USA – $75,00
  • Direct Relief – $50,000
