The talk covers the implementation of Lean Portfolio Management within the business line X-ray products of Siemens Healthineers (SHS).
It starts with describing the initial situation, its challenges and the perception of the management of the process and condition of portfolio management. Based on the starting point then the chosen approach for LPM, the implementation path and current status are explained.
Central point are the improvements and the opinion on them of the stakeholders.
Last part before entering in an open discussion, is the outlook on what else will be further implemented like improving value stream funding and changing from project to product budgeting. The talk is an as interactive as possible explanation of the take of SHS X-Ray products on the introduction of LPM elements, their value for the business, practical tips how to tackle the implementation and lessons learned.
